Jakub M. Ciesielski is a Senior Associate attorney with Alicja M. Sroka & Associates. Jakub’s practice consists of a broad array of matters with a focus on litigation but now also involves substantial and substantive transactional experience over the last four years. Jakub is a zealous advocate in both the conference room and the courtroom.

He prides himself on taking a holistic approach in counseling his various clients on their options and solutions from numerous different aspects to get them the best result possible, both where that can be attained without litigation and where litigation is necessary.

Primarily, Jakub heads the firm’s litigation section with a focus on family law including divorce, child support, custody issues, and other co-parenting disputes. Jakub also has significant experience and has reached successful results for his clients in commercial litigation, commercial and residential foreclosure defense along with collateral loss alternative solutions, and other real estate litigation.

Jakub handles probate and trust administration matters as well. On top of all of that, Jakub also advises and represents the firm’s small business clients in various commercial transactions, employee/labor issues, and vendor & customer disputes.

The first five years of his legal practice were spent at a mid-size litigation firm in Downtown Chicago primarily defending non-profit organizations and corporations against toxic and mass tort, premises liability, and other personal injury lawsuits. He has now spent multiple years at Alicja M. Sroka & Associates, P.C. focused on helping the firm’s individual clients in family law litigation, probate, estate planning, and a broad array of transactional and real estate work for small business owners.

From Jakub’s experience litigating cases of significant value defending corporations as well as obtaining significant marital property and maintenance awards for his family law clients in high-net-worth families in the Chicagoland area, Jakub knows the risks and costs associated with prolonged litigation and he has extensive insight into the minds of and tactics used by corporate parties, high net worth individual clients, and their attorneys.

In his free time, Jakub enjoys spending his time outdoors, attending live music, and everything sports. Jakub is a huge Chicago and Michigan sports fan cheering on Michigan Wolverine Football each fall Saturday.
